We may be a little delayed due to Hurricane Sandy, but here’s the Week 8 NFL MVP Power Rankings

1. Aaron Rodgers, Last Week: 1

After getting off to a slow start, Aaron Rodgers is on fire. He has a league leading 21 TD’s to only 4 INT’s and has lead the Packers to three straight wins.

2. Tom Brady, Last Week: 2

While the highlight of the London game was Gronk doing a “nutcracker spike”, Tom Brady played another great game and the Patriots have the division lead heading into their bye week.

3. Matt Ryan, Last Week: 4

Matt Ryan threw 3 TD passes in the Falcons win over the Eagles, and still has his team undefeated. The difference between these top three guys isn’t much and Matt Ryan’s play will keep him in the MVP discussion for the rest of the year.

4. Drew Brees, Last Week: 8

Drew Brees is moving up in the MVP discussion and is still playing like the elite QB he is without his head coach Sean Payton. The team may be struggling, but Drew Brees has 20 TD’s so far this season.

5. Eli Manning, Last Week: 3

The last two Giants games haven’t been great ones from Eli Manning, but he has always played well in the end and has lead his team to victory. The Giants are 6-2 and Manning’s late game heroics have gotten him a lot of attention.

6. Robert Griffin III, Last Week: 6

The Redskins have been an average team, but RGIII is still playing great. He didn’t have a great game against the Steelers but Griffin has gotten it done in the passing and running game this year, much like the amazing year Cam Newton had last year.

7. JJ Watt, Last Week: 7

JJ Watt has slowed down a little from the pace he was on at the beginning of the season, but he still leads the league with 9.5 sacks and has an  impressive 10 pass deflections.

8. Peyton Manning, Last Week: Unranked

Peyton Manning also got off to a slow start, but he’s come on real strong in the last couple of days. He’s completing 68% of his passes and has the league’s best QB rating. Much like Eli he’s also been great at the end of games.

9. Arian Foster, Last Week: 5

Arian Foster is a big part of the Texans offense and he has 9 TD’s so far this season. He no longer leads the league in rushing, but Foster has ran for 659 yards this season

10. Adrian Peterson, Last Week: Unranked

The league leader in rushing, it’s still incredible to think about how he’s playing so soon after his injury. ADP is truly one of the greatest players in the NFL.
