Warren Michigan Based “Warrior” Reveals 2012-13 Liverpool Home Kit

It is near midnight in Liverpool and with that comes the teams official release of their 2012-13 Home Kit.

Normally this wouldn’t be news for any of us over here in the United States, and better yet Michigan. However this edition of the Liverpool home jersey was created by none other than Warren Michigan’s “Warrior Sports”.

Warrior Sports began as a lacrosse equipment company in 1992 and was purchased by New Balance in 2004.

In January of 2012 they announced a partnership with Liverpool FC for six years, the previous creator of the Liverpool kit was Adidas. The deal is expected to earn Liverpool £300 million pound over the next six years.

With that here is an official release from Liverpool FC and Warrior of their creation for the 2012-13 EPL season.

Also here is a video produced by Liverpool and Warrior on the new kit release.

In my opinion, I love the new kit. I know my bias may result in being born in raised in Warren Michigan but it is a solid kit with a retro feel, something that I feel is always a delight to see.

The folks at Warrior also paid homage to the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989 which claimed the lives of 96 victims. On the back neck of the kit there is a “96” representing those who lost their lives. The event is something the Liverpool faithful take very seriously and this is a nice touch to the kit.

What are your opinions of the new kit? Leave your opinions below!
